Papi: Self-bias and psychology research

I've read this really interesting article about psychologists who like to cite themselves. Is this happening in other areas of science or just psychology? What do you think?

I think it is common amongst many sciences. I personally see people doing it quite often, but I do not think it is out of greed more out of laziness. They know what they have done, more often than not they are building upon it, and can not be bothered to find additional references to bolster their work.
